James Suckling Top 100 Wines of Spain 2021 Rank 62
PSI is the 23rd letter in the Greek alphabet and is the name of Peter Sisseck's (of the coveted Pingus and Flor de Pingus) utopian wine from Ribera del Duero. Peter has sought out the best independent vineyard growers in Ribera and is incentivizing them to improve viticultural practices and shun chemicals, lower yields, and practice biodynamics by paying them increasingly for the fruit as they improve. The result is a "give back" to the regional wine that also expresses the "soul" of Ribera.
Robert Parker 94 Points "2020 PSI feels young, juicy, very fruit-driven, and clean. 2020 was an unusual vintage with lots of light, plenty of flowers, and a beautiful spring. In Ribera, there will be two different harvests: the wines before the rain and those from after. So, this is very healthy, aromatic, and floral, with a spark of freshness but also ripe and round. It is going to be a crowd-pleaser. 90% Tempranillo with some 10% Garnacha."

Blackberry and black-cherry aromas with lavender, cedar and hints of cloves and white pepper, following through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins and a beautiful, creamy finish. A little tight and reserved now. Another impressive PSI.
