Made from 100% Sangiovese, grown in soils with high chalk content, this wine shows just how good this varietal can taste.
Deep, ruby-red in color, this Chianti Classico offers aromas of ripe cherries and red plums, with subtle notes of toasted vanilla beans and purple flowers. On the palate, the wine displays a superbly structured character with bright acidity and a pleasantly savory finish.

Made with organically farmed Sangiovese, this medium-bodied red has aromas of forest floor, wild berries, camphor and new leather. The savory, elegantly structured palate doles out juicy black cherry, crushed raspberry and licorice as well as a cool smoky note that adds nuance. Editors’ Choice

Aromas of blueberries, plums, roasted meat and dried herbs. Medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins. Chewy and structured on the palate with chocolate notes on the flavorful finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

A chunky style, this red evokes a core of cherry and raspberry, accented by Tuscan herbs, tobacco and earth. Firmly structured, yet stays fresh and long on the finish. Best after 2023.

The 2019 Chianti Classico from Castello di Bossi is a light-bodied, aromatic wine to drink now and over the next few years. There is good aromatic complexity, but not enough depth or freshness to make me think the 2019 will be a longer term prospect. Crushed flowers, sweet pipe tobacco, cedar and earthy notes linger nicely.
